Wine making at Villa Cilnia
The winemakers of Villa Cilnia produce, make, age, and bottle their own wines.
The 9 hectares of vineyards, which are part of the Chianti District and the Chianti-Aretine Hills D.O.C.G., are cultivated with Sangiovese, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Sirah, Traminer and Pinot Bianco grapes and gathered by hand between the end of September and early October.
Our wines are deeply rooted in the territory and are produced in a way that respects the natural balance of the entire property, which is made up of Apennine woods and wildlife. This is what moved us to embrace the organic ideal, after several years of struggle.
